Wow, can you believe it? It's March 1st, 2017. When did we get to the 3rd month of the new year? Either way I'm happy for March, it's the birth of Spring. Of all the seasons, Spring is my favourite because it symbolizes renewal, growth and new beginnings. Here's to a new month of progress and growth.

On the topic of growth and renewal, today I wanted to discuss John Maxwell's Law of Consistency found in the book The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth.

What I've found throughout my life is that the people who are the most successful are those that have learned to be the best at what they do and to do it consistently. They are consistent in their actions and in their deeds. When it comes to any area of life, motivation doesn't always come easy but when it does it alone can't help us to move forward with our goals and ambitions. We need discipline to stick to tasks at hand if we expect to see any real results.

In the 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth John Maxwell says 'if you want to be more consistent in your performance, you need to be more disciplined and consistent in your growth.'  To do this you should ask yourself the following questions...

1. Do you know what you need to improve?

2. Do you know how you are supposed to improve?

3. Do you know why you want to keep improving?

4. Do you know when you are supposed to improve?

Why not ask yourself these questions and see how you do. Do you find it hard to be consistent when trying to get things done or to grow yourself? It isn't easy to stay the course, there are so many distractions aren't there?  If you are still struggling, it may be of benefit for you to get help from other focused people who can be your accountability partners as you strive for what I like to call 'stick-to-itiveness'.

Growth is optional. Choosing to remain the same is as well. Progress though, only comes with growth. Which will you choose?

Have a blessed day and month,

Teca
